Welcome to the mapping tool for South-South Development Academy Solutions and Mechanisms in Egypt. The South-South Development Academy Egypt (SSDA) was established by virtue of a UNDP project document that was signed in August 2014 to share the development experiences of countries of the South, based on common interests and provide shared platforms of learning and knowledge exchange among those facing similar development challenges. SSDA Egypt is a chapter of the Global South-South Development (GSSD) network managed by the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC).
This mapping tool is intended to provide a one-stop shop access to practical, easy-to-use expertise on the existing South-South Development Academy Solutions and Mechanisms in Egypt, to be used by the government institutions, non-government organisations, as well as development partners and the United Nations agencies, funds and programmes active in the region in their work aimed at advancing South-South Cooperation in the region in compliance with the provisions of the High-level United Nations Conference on South-South Cooperation. The mapping tool also offers an opportunity for sharing analytical information aimed at better understanding of the existing regional trends in South-South Cooperation, as well as visualising the capacity gaps that prevent the countries in the regions from taking full advantage of the potential benefits of South-South Cooperation.
